The St. Laurence Catholic
School Leo Club is 110 members strong for the 2011-2012 school year. The
club consists of 7th and 8th graders who are
committed to providing service to our school, our parish and our
surrounding community. Last year our service project list was extensive! We
served Catholic Charities, MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, the Lions Camp, the
Rainbow Room, the military, the poor and our fellow St. Laurence students
and parish. This year we are implementing new programs to serve the elderly
along with our other projects. Club advisors are Lion Lisa D’Oliver,
Mrs. Anne Lootens and Mrs. Jennifer Cantrell.
We are forever grateful
for the inspiration Mr. Jack Grounds gave our Club and will miss him
terribly. As he proclaimed, so often, We are here to serve, and the St.
Laurence Leos will strive to live up to his legacy!
